What your menopause check includes
Hormone blood tests
FSH, oestradiol and testosterone, taken at the clinic on the day of your consultation.
The Greene Climacteric Scale
A standard questionnaire that scores 21 common menopause symptoms, filled in when you arrive.
A 30 minute consultation
With a female GP, who talks you through your options, including HRT and treatments without hormones.
Your GP reads your questionnaire and your blood results together with your history, so the advice is based on all three. No referral is needed from your own GP.

Not on its own. Hormone levels rise and fall from week to week during perimenopause, so a single result can come back normal while you still have symptoms. That is why the check includes the questionnaire and a consultation. Your GP reads your blood results together with your symptoms and your history. The blood tests tell the most if you are under 45, and it gives a baseline if you start treatment.
No. You book directly on this page. If you would like us to write to your own GP afterwards, we can do that with your consent.
Your GP will talk you through HRT and the options without hormones, and whether they suit you. If you decide to start treatment, the prescription and any follow-up appointments are charged separately and quoted before you agree to them.
No. You can eat and drink as normal. If you are taking hormonal contraception or HRT already, tell your GP at the start of the consultation, because it affects how the results are read.
Yes. Free parking on site at Westhill.
You can move your appointment to another available date. If you cancel it, the booking is non-refundable, because it is paid in advance at the reduced price.
