Professional Profile and Experience

Dr Samantha Whiteside is a remote and visiting General Practitioner with experience and special training in management of the menopause spanning many years. She also has years of experience and special interest in caring for and managing people with mental health or emotional difficulties. She takes great pride in bringing an empathic, person-centred approach to both of these patient groups.

Previous colleagues have described her as being very perceptive in clinical situations and having a particular skill for holistic care. Outwith these two main areas Dr Samantha Whiteside is a very experienced doctor with many of her NHS day to day consultations also including women’s health issues and contraception.

Dr Samantha Whiteside continues to provide locum GP sessions within the NHS on and ad-hoc basis and also runs her own private counselling & coaching business WhitesideWellbeing, with her niche area being mothers/mums of any age or stage in life.

In line with her holistic approach she recently embarked upon a Diploma in Culinary Medicine and in the future plans to help patients adapt their nutrition to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing. In Spring of 2023 she will be undertaking British Menopause Society training in CBT to help women manage symptoms of menopause using CBT.
