Why we are doing this in September

10 September is World Suicide Prevention Day. It exists to say something simple: nobody should have to carry it alone, and asking for help should be easier than it is.

If you are reading this, you are already doing the hardest part. Deciding to look for help takes something, and it is not a decision anyone makes lightly. What usually gets in the way next is practical: the cost, the waiting, not knowing where to start. That is why we have put this bundle together, so the step you have already decided to take is an easier one to actually make.

If someone is in immediate danger, or has already harmed themselves, call 999. If they need to talk to someone tonight, Samaritans is on 116 123, free, at any hour.

What the block of six includes

Six sessions with the same therapist, so you are not starting again every time.

Six sessions, one therapist

  • Six one hour sessions, starting with one to talk through what is going on and agree what you want from the work
  • Five further hour long sessions with the therapist you picked
  • In person at our Westhill clinic, or by video, and you can mix the two
  • Sessions scheduled to suit you, weekly or spaced out, starting any time in September or October
  • No GP referral

Six sessions is a starting point, not a course you have to finish. If you want to continue afterwards you can, at the standard session price.

How it works, step by step

From booking to your first session.

1

Book the block

To get this bundle you need to book online between 1 and 10 September. Your sessions can take place in September or later.

2

Pick your therapist

You choose which therapist you see and whether the session is at Westhill or by video.

3

Your first session

You talk through what has brought you here and what you want to be different. Nothing is expected of you beyond turning up.

4

The remaining five

You arrange the other five with your therapist and agree the pace between you. If it becomes clear that a different kind of support would help more, they will say so and we can arrange it.

Why patients choose ROC Clinics UK

ROC has been supporting patients with their mental health in Aberdeen for over 12 years.

Appointments in days, not months

There is no waiting list to join and no referral to chase. Same week appointments are often available, depending on demand.

Qualified, registered therapists

Our psychotherapy is delivered by therapists registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Confidential, and nothing is shared by default

What you say in a session stays there. Nothing goes to your GP, your employer or your family unless you ask us to send it.

Is this the right thing to book?

Six hours with the same therapist is long enough to get somewhere, rather than one conversation.

Book this if

  • You have been meaning to start therapy and keep putting it off
  • You are dealing with anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, grief or something you have not talked about
  • You have never had a therapy session and you want to start somewhere

Ready to book your first session?
