Menopause Clinic - ROC Private Clinic

What to expect from a Menopause Assessment at ROC?

We offer menopause consultations either Face-to-Face at our Aberdeen Clinic or remotely via Video, covering all of the UK, including London.

When attending in person a physical examination including height, weight, blood pressure, breast and gynae examination may take place. We offer packages for women wishing to have consultation, examination, blood tests and gynaecological ultrasound.

Your journey begins with an in-depth, 45-minute first consultation with a gynaecology consultant who specialises in menopause. This includes a detailed medical history and an examination as clinically indicated. (Please note: examinations may include a gynaecological examination where appropriate during in-person visits; video consultations do not include physical examinations).

Tailored Investigations

While hormonal laboratory testing or a gynaecological ultrasound may be recommended depending on your specific clinical needs, they are not routinely required. If you have had testing done elsewhere, please bring along any results or reports to your first appointment.

For patients undertaking remote video assessments, blood tests can be arranged through home sample collection kits. An ultrasound can be arranged at our clinic or a partner clinic closer to you.

A Truly Comprehensive Approach

We do not just prescribe medication. Together with our expanded team, we offer pelvic physiotherapy appointments, detailed gynaecological scans, body composition analysis, cardiovascular assessments, and nutritional evaluation testing.

Your consultant will work with you to create a highly personalised management plan. Options discussed may include:

    • Body-Identical HRT
    • Testosterone replacement (prescribed off-licence if clinically indicated; specific product options will be discussed during your consultation)
    • Natural and nutritional approaches

Ongoing Support & Prescriptions

To ensure seamless continuity of care, repeat prescriptions are issued electronically. Patients can easily order their medications online for fast, discreet home delivery.

Arrived at the clinic and was seen promptly. The procedure was explained to me and any questions were answered. The doctor and her staff were very friendly and put me at ease. During the procedure, they kept me informed of what she was doing and afterwards gave me advice on what I shouldn’t do until the stitches were removed (no bowling!). All in all, I couldn’t fault the care and attention I received.

Attended the clinic for breast screening. I was treated very well and had all my questions answered. The consultant was very kind, also the nurse who made me a cup of tea! I left very reassured.

I had minor surgery with Sathis Wijemanne last week, and he was excellent. Sathis was very friendly and explained everything clearly before the surgery took place. I couldn't believe how efficient and painless the entire process was. I would highly recommend Sathis to anyone looking to have a minor surgical procedure done.
