Dr Atiyah Kamran is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist in Aberdeen with specialist expertise in menopause care, vulval skin conditions, and general benign gynaecology. She graduated from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan and after doing junior training in reputable hospitals in England she completed her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in North Scotland, mainly Aberdeen. With extensive multidisciplinary experience across major UK teaching hospitals, Dr Kamran has developed advanced expertise in the assessment and treatment of complex gynaecological conditions. She has been a Consultant Gynaecologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary since 2019. Dr Kamran is known for delivering holistic, evidence-based and realistic gynaecological care, supporting women through a wide range of concerns with a compassionate and individualised approach. Her practice combines strong clinical expertise with clear communication, patient education, and a commitment to helping women make informed decisions about their health.

Alongside her NHS clinical work, she holds important leadership and service development roles in NHS Grampian and educational roles at University of Aberdeen. She is NHS Grampian lead for improving menopause service delivery, Grampian representative for Scottish menopause clinical network, NHS Grampian clinical lead for benign vulval skin service, and lead for complex benign gynaecology MDT .She is also a clinical trainer and educational supervisor thus contributing in training of junior gynaecologists. She is British menopause society recognised trainer for advanced certificate in menopause .She is a keen educator and supervisor for medical students at University of Aberdeen. She is currently involved in research projects at both national and international level. These roles reflect her commitment not only to clinical excellence, but also to improving women’s health pathways, supporting colleagues, and shaping future services.
