Professional Profile and Experience

Grace Doris is an integrative counsellor and intercultural coach based in Aberdeen, where she has lived since 2006. Originally from Malaysia, she has also lived and worked in Australia and onboard the international ship MV Doulos, experience that informs the cross-cultural perspective she brings to her practice.

Grace qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2019, completing her Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Vital Connexions, Edinburgh, followed by a Certificate in Couples Therapy in 2022. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching from the University of Aberdeen, alongside a Bachelor of Ministries and an Associate Diploma in Social Sciences.

Between 2020 and 2021 Grace worked as a counsellor with Hope Counselling Aberdeen, carrying out initial assessments and delivering counselling both in person and online. She now runs her private counselling practice through her own business, Viewpoint Innovation, working with individual clients and couples.

Alongside her counselling work, Grace has provided intercultural coaching and consultancy since 2010 for clients across the oil and gas industry, the NHS, higher education and local government. In 2011 and 2012 she worked offshore in the North Sea delivering behavioural safety coaching to workers on oil and gas installations. She designs training and coaching programmes tailored to each client’s needs.
