Professional Profile and Experience

Dr Wendy Knoops is Women’s Health Clinical Lead at ROC. She is a highly qualified physician with a specialist interest in women’s health. Dr Knoops graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002 and has held a number of key posts, including several within the NHS. Most recently she was Specialty Doctor in Sexual & Reproductive Health at NHS Highland, a role she also held at NHS Grampian for 8 years.

Dr Knoops is also passionate about helping to develop the the next generation of healthcare professionals. She has worked at the University of Aberdeen, coordinating the clinical teaching of medical students, and was Departmental Lead for postgraduate SRH training for NHS Highland in Inverness.

In her role as Women’s Health Clinical Lead Dr Knoops’ area of interest is focussed on sexual and reproductive care as part of a deep desire to help and improve wider health and social issues.  She is also passionate about menopause care and managing women’s health following cancer diagnosis.
