Professional Profile and Experience

Mr Kapil Kumar is an experienced Orthopaedic Consultant, specialising in Upper Limb orthopaedic conditions, having worked as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary since 2007.

Mr Kapil Kumar graduated from University of Delhi and moved to the UK after completing his Orthopaedic Training. He trained in Orthopedics in Aberdeen before further subspecialising in Shoulder and Elbow surgery.

His advanced training Fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow surgery were at Reading Shoulder Unit, and the Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington Hospital. Both these institutions are world renowned for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.

Mr Kapil Kumar’s specialist interests include rotator cuff injuries, subacromial impingement, frozen shoulder, shoulder dislocation, recurrent shoulder instability, shoulder and elbow arthritis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel; Dupuytren’s contracture, joint arthroscopy and shoulder replacement.
