Professional Profile and Experience

Paul Bachoo is Medical Director for Acute Services at NHS Grampian. He is an experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Honorary Associate in School of Medicine and Dentistry at the Division of Applied Medicine.

Paul qualified from the University of Leicester in 1987 and trained in Leicester, Liverpool and Aberdeen. Paul was appointed as Consultant in Vascular Surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2001 and has been instrumental in enhancing the profile of Aberdeen Vascular Surgery through involvement in national multi-centre trials.

Paul has taught at the Organisation of Vascular Surgical Department, the Scottish Vascular Training Group and was the tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Surgical skills course for Higher Surgical Trainees.

Mr Bachoo has authored a range of publications, presented internationally and supported clinical trials
