Consultations
Blood tests
Pelvic Ultrasound (scans)
Tubal assessment (Hystero Contrast Sonography): Investigation performed under ultrasound guidance to assess whether the fallopian tubes are open (patent) in addition to assessing the endometrium (lining of the womb)

GP referral is not required for Gynaecology/Fertility investigations which are performed by our fertility experts onsite at our clinic in Aberdeen.

Rapid access to test results reduces lengthy waiting times and therefore mitigates stress and anxiety. Thereafter, our fertility specialists can then agree an individualised management plan.

Investigations may reveal that there is no specific cause for fertility problems (unexplained infertility) and reassure you about conceiving spontaneously. Where a specific cause is identified (ie., polycystic ovarian syndrome – PCOS), which often results in irregular or no monthly ovulation, we can offer treatment known as ‘ovulation induction’. Ovulation induction medications can help achieve ovulation more regularly, thereby increasing the chance of pregnancy.

Fertility Hormonal Assessments

Hormonal imbalance can significantly affect fertility and menstrual cycles, leading to irregular periods or amenorrhea (no periods). Our hormonal assessments can identify underlying conditions, many of which are treatable. This can pave the way for effective management and improved reproductive health. We also offer a comprehensive endocrinology services.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

PCOS is a common condition that may cause irregular menstrual cycles or cosmetic symptoms like unwanted hair growth, and acne, potentially impacting fertility. We offer hormonal assessments and treatments to manage symptoms and promote regular ovulation. Medications to induce ovulation can also be provided to aid in conception.

Assessment of Sexual Health Issues

Sexual health issues in both males and females can affect conception chances. Our assessments aim to identify any contributing conditions and provide solutions. We can also offer guidance on the use of home insemination kits as part of your fertility plan.
